Health Policy

Participants will need to show physical proof of at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. Proof of vaccination must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination. Participants will be asked to present a physical copy of their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.

The only exception is for those with a medical exemption with doctor documentation. Those who are not able to be vaccinated due to a medical exemption, must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test or COVID-19 PCR test before each of the following: Welcome Fireside, each sectional/rehearsal week and the Sunday performance at The Smith Center.

Masks are required for all participants, at rehearsals and backstage at The Smith Center. No masks will be used during performance. All masks must completely cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings.

Each individual in Zion’s Youth Symphony & Chorus should identify if he/she is experiencing any of the following prior to attending a ZYSC practice or performance. If a member of the group shows any signs indicated below, stay home and contact your medical provider for support: Cough, chills, sore throat, muscle pain, fever 100° or higher, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste and smell, congestion, fatigue, headache, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

If a member of the group is not feeling well or has any symptoms of COVID-19, has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or tested positive with COVID-19, they must stay home from practice/performance.
